2008 Ryder Cup - Miguel Angel Jiminez

Jiminez is a pretty unique individual. He is also quite the feel player. He does not beat balls for hours and hours. He feels the movement in his body and trusts it get his ball where he wants it to go. I wonder how he feels this week?

His swing has an interesting look to it, especially compared to some of the younger players, but it is still very effective. The key to his swing is that he is very relaxed. Golf should be played relaxed. The more you can get your muscles to relax, the better your swing is going to be.

He is not as flexible as some of the younger players, but he does not let that hinder him. He is very smart to keep his hips relaxed. By keeping them from tightening he allows them to rotate a little more than other players on tour during his backswing. If you find that you don't have as much flexibility, the copy his hips on the backswing as it wil give you a bigger turn which will help you hit the ball a little farther.
